Drip-feeding is the process of delivering Course content in scheduled parts so that Users don’t get it all at once. By delivering smaller chunks of your content in a structured manner (i.e., section by section), you allow your Learners to better focus on your current material.
To do that, log in to TalentLMS as an Instructor and go to a Course's page. Hover your mouse over a specific section title and click on the "delay availability" option (1).
From the modal window that pops-up, set your preferred "Delay time" either in hours or days (2) and save your settings (3).
Upon reaching the respective section, Learners see a counter that informs them of when it is scheduled to be unlocked (4) to let them access the training material.
Sections are unlocked on a set schedule, effective on the date each User was assigned to the drip-fed Course. All Learners receive the same content at the same pace but not at the same time, except for those that begin taking the Course simultaneously.
When a Course is not already divided into sections, you can create sections for drip-feeding by adding a delay time directly to a unit (5).
Do that, and a section is created automatically (6) above it. The new section immediately includes all the units that follow up to the next section that is created the same way.
